Trying the New Stuff Out for Comfort

Ajax is sitting in the new faux-wicker chair that came in my set from Walmart. One of the pieces from my original 50-year old set is in the background. I have to admit, the old stuff is still so much more comfortable and has a natural creaky charm, but it won't survive too many more seasons. I just covered the cushions and painted the surviving settee and chair to match my new stuff. I bought the set 15 years ago, second hand, and have painted it over the years, Sage Green, Nantucket Blue, Salsa Red, Rose, and now Brown. My color scheme has changed as my use of the furniture has moved from inside to outside.

Nothing says sweet relief like some sweet ice tea, in a vintage dogwood glass, with a sprig of mint, with a little white wicker furniture thrown in.

It was 99 degrees outside and my camera kept fogging up! It was so hazy outside too.
